HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University has rescheduled its Centennial kickoff event for Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 10 a.m., in the Student Union breezeway. The event will include cake, giveaways, and more surprises. Originally scheduled Sept. 12, the event was postponed due to Hurricane Francine.
Southeastern’s year-long Centennial celebration will be filled with events and initiatives.
Throughout the year, Southeastern will offer a wide array of opportunities to get involved with the celebration. Area restaurant partners will offer signature 100th anniversary dishes or drinks, and lectures and concerts are scheduled during the fall 2025 Centennial Fanfare. At most events, attendees will have the opportunity to sign their name in the Centennial Signature Book, which will be archived for future generations to cherish.
