The Ponchatoula Country Market’s mission is to provide a place for locals to display and sell handmade, homegrown & collectible items, and to maintain the historical depot building that houses the Country Market while serving the community.

From March through October, the Independence Farmers Market provides fresh produce and other goods to the local community on Saturday morning until noon. Vendors sell items such as fruits, vegetables, ricotta cheese, pickled eggs, honey, jams and jelly, homemade salsa, handmade crafts and jewelry, and more.
